The Herd

Peter Frampton's band "The Herd" was a British pop group formed in 1965, best known for their hit single "From the Underworld," which reached the top 10 on the UK charts in 1967. The band originally consisted of Peter Frampton on lead vocals and guitar, Andy Bown on keyboards, Gary Taylor on bass, and Andrew Steele on drums.

The Herd was signed to the record label Parlophone and released several singles and two albums before disbanding in 1968. Peter Frampton then went on to form the band Humble Pie, which achieved great success in the early 1970s.

Although The Herd's time together was relatively short, their music has been influential in the British pop scene of the 1960s. Peter Frampton's distinctive guitar playing and soulful vocals were a key component of the band's sound, which blended elements of R&B, pop, and rock
