Jo Jo Gunne was a rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California in the early 1970s. The band was led by guitarist/vocalist Jay Ferguson, who was previously a member of the band Spirit. The other members of Jo Jo Gunne were Mark Andes (bass), Curly Smith (drums), and Matt Andes (guitar). Jo Jo Gunne's music was a blend of rock, country, and blues, with a sound that was influenced by bands like the Rolling Stones and the Faces. The band's self-titled debut album was released in 1972 and featured the hit single "Run Run Run," which reached No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Jo Jo Gunne went on to release several more albums over the next few years, including "Bite Down Hard" (1973), "Jumpin' the Gunne" (1974), and "So ... Where's the Show?" (1974). However, the band was never able to match the success of their debut album, and they eventually disbanded in 1975. Despite their relatively short career, Jo Jo Gunne is still remembered as a cult favorite among fans of 1970s rock music, and their music continues to be played on classic rock radio stations to this day.
