Molly Hatchet

Molly Hatchet is a Southern rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, USA, formed in 1975. The band's name is derived from a prostitute who allegedly mutilated and decapitated her clients, and was the name of a 17th-century hatchet used for beheading in England.

The band's original lineup consisted of Danny Joe Brown on vocals, Dave Hlubek and Steve Holland on guitars, Duane Roland on guitar and slide guitar, Banner Thomas on bass, and Bruce Crump on drums. They released their self-titled debut album in 1978, which featured their hit song "Flirtin' with Disaster."

Molly Hatchet's music is heavily influenced by Southern rock, blues, and boogie rock. Their sound is characterized by powerful guitar riffs, dual guitar solos, and Brown's distinctive vocals. They have released a total of 14 studio albums, 2 live albums, and several compilation albums over the years.

The band went through several lineup changes over the years, and Brown passed away in 2005. However, Molly Hatchet continues to tour and record new music with various members. Their music has been popular among fans of Southern rock and has influenced other rock bands in the genre.

Thanks to Dirk for helping me with the lineup from 1996 to the present. -GSH
