Small Faces

Small Faces were a British rock band formed in London in 1965. The original lineup consisted of Steve Marriott (vocals, guitar), Ronnie Lane (bass guitar, vocals), Kenney Jones (drums), and Jimmy Winston (keyboards). Winston was later replaced by Ian McLagan.

The band was known for their energetic live performances and their unique blend of rock, R&B, and soul music. They had a string of hits in the mid-1960s, including "All or Nothing," "Sha-La-La-La-Lee," and "Itchycoo Park." Their music was often characterized by Marriott's distinctive, soulful vocals and McLagan's Hammond organ playing.

Small Faces were also known for their mod style and fashion sense, which included sharp suits, short haircuts, and Chelsea boots. They were an influential part of the British mod scene in the mid-1960s, along with other bands like The Who and The Kinks.

Despite their success, Small Faces had a turbulent history, with lineup changes and disputes with their record label. In 1969, Marriott left the band to form Humble Pie, and Small Faces continued as simply "The Faces" with Rod Stewart as their new lead vocalist.

Small Faces were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, and their music continues to be celebrated and influential to this day.
