The Youngbloods

The Youngbloods were an American rock band that was formed in the mid-1960s. The band's original members were Jesse Colin Young (vocals, bass), Jerry Corbitt (guitar, vocals), Lowell "Banana" Levinger (keyboards, guitar, vocals), and Joe Bauer (drums).

The Youngbloods are perhaps best known for their hit song "Get Together," which was released in 1967 and became an anthem for the counterculture movement of the time. The song has been covered by numerous artists over the years and continues to be a popular and beloved tune.

The band's music was a blend of folk, rock, and blues, and they were known for their strong vocal harmonies and socially conscious lyrics. Some of their other well-known songs include "Darkness, Darkness," "Euphoria," and "Grizzly Bear."

The Youngbloods were active from the mid-1960s through the early 1970s, and though they never achieved the same level of commercial success as some of their contemporaries, they were a respected and influential band in their time. They disbanded in 1972, and though they reunited for occasional performances over the years, they never resumed full-time activity.
