The Zombies are an English rock band formed in 1962 in St Albans, England. The original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Colin Blunstone, keyboardist and bassist Rod Argent, guitarist Paul Atkinson, bassist Chris White, and drummer Hugh Grundy. The band first achieved success in the mid-1960s with their hit single "She's Not There," which reached the top of the charts in the UK and the US. They followed this up with several other hits, including "Tell Her No" and "Time of the Season." The Zombies' music is often described as baroque pop, a subgenre of pop music that combines classical music elements with rock and roll. Their music is characterized by intricate vocal harmonies, catchy melodies, and often features Argent's distinctive organ sound. Despite their success, the band disbanded in 1967, and Blunstone and Argent pursued solo careers. However, the Zombies' music continued to be influential, and they were eventually inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. In the years following their breakup, several reunion lineups of the band have formed, with Blunstone and Argent often at the helm. These lineups have continued to tour and record new music, including the critically acclaimed album "Still Got That Hunger" in 2015. The Mustangs / The Sundowners / The Zombies I (1961 - 1962)
The Zombies II (1962 - December 1967)
