Savoy Brown

Savoy Brown is a British blues rock band that was formed in 1965 by guitarist Kim Simmonds. They were part of the British blues movement in the 1960s and 1970s and are considered one of the key bands in the genre. The band has undergone numerous lineup changes over the years, but Kim Simmonds has remained the constant member.

Savoy Brown's early music was heavily influenced by American blues artists such as Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, and B.B. King. Their first album, "Shake Down," was released in 1967 and featured a mix of original songs and covers. The band's most successful period came in the early 1970s when they released a string of albums that were well received by both critics and fans.

Some of Savoy Brown's most well-known songs include "Train to Nowhere," "Tell Mama," "I'm Tired," and "Street Corner Talking." The band's music has been described as a mix of blues, rock, and boogie, and they are known for their high-energy live performances.

Over the years, Savoy Brown has released over 40 albums and has continued to tour and record new music. While they may not be as well-known as some of their contemporaries such as Cream or Led Zeppelin, they have a dedicated fan base and have influenced numerous musicians in the blues and rock genres.
