Stevie Ray Vaughan


Born and raised in Dallas, Vaughan began playing guitar at age seven, inspired by his older brother, Jimmie. He dropped out of high school in 1972 and moved to Austin, where he gained a following playing the local club circuit. Vaughan, with Tommy Shannon on bass and Chris Layton on drums, formed Double Trouble in 1978.
